wednesday dinner with the douglasses

the douglasses are probably my oldest friends in bakersfield. we met through our daughters when alicia was four and momo was seven and we were neighbors. mo would come over and swim in our pool all summer and they would play dress-up and rock star between the two houses. rick and nick and jay and i didn't spend a lot of time together until the douglasses moved. we saw each other more after that. as they girls grew apart, their parents grew closer. we have a new tradition of wednesday sushi that has quickly become wednesday dinner. this happened because jay and i gave up unnecessary spending for lent...bye for now sushi dinners. i am still working on my great tobasco recipes cookbook and for wednesday dinner i made the moroccan chicken.
